Governor Jay Inslee has proclaimed the week of March 11-15 as Classified Employee Week. Throughout the week school districts, students and communities are encouraged to make time to express their appreciation for the work performed by classified support staff. The Dayton School District employs nearly 45 full and part time classified staff who perform a wide variety of support functions. Without the skills of these employees students would not have a bus to ride, a clean building to study, a warm meal at lunch, a safe playground for recess, or that extra help in math or reading. District Superintendent Doug Johnson encourages all students, teachers, parents, and members of the community to say thank you to our classified employees. THANK YOU for a job well done.
