Elementary and Middle School Named Schools of Distinction
Students in two Dayton schools were recently recognized for their sustained efforts to improve their academic performance in Math and English Language Arts. The award is given by the Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE). This is the 12th year CEE has recognized efforts to improve scores on state assessments given each spring. Dayton Elementary is a back to back winner being recognized in 2017 and is the third such award in the past five years. Middle School students were also recognized and previously made the list in 2014. The award recognizes only the top five percent of all schools making progress in the state of Washington. Congratulations to students, teachers, support staff, parents and the community.
