It is very important that you read each application carefully. Make sure that you read the criteria for each scholarship and make sure that you submit all application materials requested and follow directions for required application information. Scholarships Due in February and Before

The Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) is accepting applications for the Wheat Ambassador Program. The program offers leadership and advocacy opportunities within the wheat industry and is open to children of WAWG members who are entering their senior year of high school. Walla Walla Elks Lodge No. 287 is offering 4 separate scholarships.
Please note the application deadline on the 4 following scholarships as we chose to list them together instead of the defined deadline format
(1) Most Valuable Student Contest is open to graduating seniors. Application deadline is November 12, 2024. Go to www.enf.elks.org/mvs.
(2) Legacy Awards provide scholarships to children and grandchildren of Elks Members. Application deadline is February 3, 2025. Visit www.enf.elks.org/leg for details and link to application.
(3) Vocational Grants from the Washington State Elks Assoc. are available to graduates going to community college or technical school. You are HIGHLY encouraged to apply and can do so by going to www.waelks.org/resources. You can download the Vocational Grant Application Form. Application deadline is March 7, 2025. *This date has changed. The Application deadline is the First Friday in February, 2025*
(4) Dave Nichols Memorial Scholarship is a local scholarship available to seniors. GPA must be between 2.2 and 3.2 only. Applications are available with Mrs. Tasker in the District Office. Application deadline is March 21, 2025.
Ben and Sue Dickinson Memorial Scholarship - Dayton High School seniors who plan to attend a trade school, two-year, or four-year college or university are encouraged to apply. Check the link here for all the information.

Columbia REA is offering two scholarships: Academic Scholarship named the Clark A. Brewington Memorial Scholarship and opened to REA members. The Lineworker Scholarship named the Columbia REA Jeff Meredith Lineworker Scholarship is opened to REA members entering a recognized Electrical LIneworker Program. Columbia County Ag Improvement Scholarship is accepting applications. Dayton High School seniors looking to pursue a career in an agriculture related field with a GPA of 2.5 or better encouraged to apply. Please find all the information here.

John Israel Scholarship is accepting applications from current seniors or post graduate students. DHS students must be a full-time student at any accredited college or accredited vocational school. Minimum grant award is $500. To be considered for this scholarship all information can be found here.

Scholarships Due in March
Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) is offering several scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing education, counseling, speech therapy, occupational therapy, social work or psychology. In addition they are offering two Gene Forrester Memorial Scholarships to students who will be entering the field of Agriculture. All details and applications can be found online at www.wssra.org.

Future Bilingual Educator Scholarship is offering $1,000 to two high school seniors (one from the Westside and one from the Eastside of the state) who have a strong desire to become bilingual educators. Application can be found here.

John Hinchliff/Pheasants Forever Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior of Dayton High School. The committee is looking for students planning to pursue a vocational field such as diesel mechanic, electrical, nursing, wind technology or other study. Student must have drive and ambition.
