Dayton students head to Japan

JULY 19, 2024 - Dayton High School students along with Mrs. Warren and Mr. Phillips took to the skies for Japan. Amid the global IT outage that same day, their flights all went as planned and after hours of travel messages were received of safe arrival.

Yamate's mission is focused on global understanding and cultural exchange. Students visit Japan to be immersed in the culture for two weeks while staying with host families, touring the area on school excursions, and sampling what Japanese life has to offer.

Yamate Exchange Program has been welcoming Dayton High School students for many years. To learn more about the program you can click here and enjoy a quick video.
