Students with Mr. Surridge

A word from our District Office Correspondent, Skylar McCann -

I recently watched Mr. Surridge perform in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”  at Walla Walla University, which was even better than I expected it to be. All of the actors were very talented, smoothly carrying out perplexing dialogue. I’ve found that comprehending Shakespeare’s writings can be a humbling experience, and by talking to classmates who also attended the show, I know I'm not the only one. It felt like watching something in a different language, and putting together the story based on their expressions and actions. Doing so was however easier because of all of the actors' enthusiasm— especially Mr. Surridge. He was lively, and clearly excited about what he was performing. It was very reminiscent of his teaching style, which never fails to make class fun and interesting. Overall, the show was great, and I look forward to seeing more like it!

Skylar has spent this school year working alongside Mrs. Tasker in the District Office, exploring the school from a few different angles. Thank you Skylar for your time as the DO Correspondent!
