Teachers face numerous challenges each day, including students' complaints about assignments, managing late submissions, quelling outbursts, and deciphering the latest nonsensical phrases. The energy required to meet these demands can be a lot, so how do teachers maintain their energy throughout the day? Let's explore the dietary habits of our Dayton High School teachers.

First, I spoke with Mrs. Ketterling, who emphasized the importance of protein in her diet. She fondly recalled peanut butter monster balls from her days coaching high school softball, and, of course, she mentioned her reliance on coffee. These choices provide quick energy and sustained focus, essential for keeping up with a busy schedule.

Mr. Phillips shared a similar penchant for quick, accessible snacks, listing snickerdoodles and Aussie bites among his go-to options, alongside his own coffee fix. There's a common theme among teachers: a preference for bite-sized treats that can be consumed on the go, offering a quick energy boost when needed.

Mrs. Reser echoed this sentiment, noting her love for coffee and sweets. While teachers often tell students about the adverse effects of energy drinks, it seems they, too, rely on caffeinated beverages to power through the day.
