ESSER Grant Information

The Dayton School District received two federal ARP ESSER III grants beginning the 2021-2022 school year. The intent of the grants were to help districts recover from the impact of COVID to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and to address the impact of the pandemic on our Nation's students.

The Dayton School District chose to use these funds to address student safety, cleaning and disinfecting our buildings, purchase software and curriculum to help students recover from the effects of remote learning, add counseling services, create alternative classrooms for additional learning opportunities,  offer direct support from the addition of staff for individualized instruction and to update the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning of the elementary building to improve air quality.
