
The Washington State DOH, in response to an increase of COVID cases linked to interscholastic sports, has increased the COVID testing requirement for all indoor, high-risk sports. Testing will now be required for all athletes, regardless of vaccination status, and will increase from twice per week to three times per week. In response, all testing will now be done on Monday/Wednesday/Friday of each week beginning in January.

Due to weather concerns, tonight's game times have been moved up. Girls Varsity will play at 4:30 PM followed by boys varsity at 6:00 PM. All Dayton players and cheerleaders will ride the practice bus to Waitsburg.

Dayton School District is operating as usual today. No delays.

Due to limited player availability, tomorrow's Boys JV game with Colfax is canceled. Varsity games will still be played, beginning with the Girls at 6:00 PM.

All high school basketball games are canceled for today and tomorrow due to a positive COVID test and resulting quarantine. We will be testing non-symptomatic students Monday morning and are hopeful we will be able to resume the season next week.

Monday's C Squad game at Touchet will now start at 4:30 allowing us to use one bus for all games. A and B Squads will be dropped off at Sager for games at 4:00/5:15 and the bus will proceed to Touchet. The bus will return to Sager after the C Squad game to pick up A and B Squads.

Due to transportation issues for our opponent, our MS Volleyball start times for today have been changed. The B squad will now start at 5:00 p.m. followed by the A squad. Waitsburg girls will ride the practice bus to Dayton at 3:45 p.m.

Our opponent for tomorrow's scheduled volleyball match is suddenly unavailable. As a result, we have had to reschedule our JV/Varsity match from tomorrow to Monday, 10/25 as a Varsity Only match at 6:30 PM. This will still allow us to celebrate and honor our Seniors at Senior Night and we appreciate your understanding with the last minute change. Our JV/Varsity match at Tri-Cities Prep on Tuesday, 10/26 will still be played as scheduled.

The High School JV Football game that was scheduled for Monday, October 25th has been cancelled. The next football game will be the varsity home game against Burbank next Friday at 7:00 p.m. It will also be Sr. Night.

The DW Middle School Volleyball game that was scheduled for Tuesday, October 19th at Sager has been moved to Thursday, October 28th due to a referee shortage. Game times remain the same.
