There will be a parade for seniors at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 4th down Main Street followed by Baccalaureate at Faith Chapel Church at 7:00 p.m. Graduation is Saturday June 5th at 1:00 p.m. Both events are by invitation only. PTSO will sponsor a walkathon for grades K-5 Friday June 4th. If you would like to volunteer please contact the elementary office or your child's teacher to fill out a background check form!

Dayton Schools will resume tomorrow as normal. The sheriff's office has concluded the investigation and have found the person responsible for the incident. We would like to thank CCSO for their efforts to resolve the situation.
Today, right before the end of the school day, we discovered a threat written inside the boys bathroom at the high school. In order to give the Sheriff's department time to complete an investigation, and as an extra measure of safety, we are canceling school for all students and staff tomorrow, Wednesday, May 12th. We will make up this day at the end of the school year. Seniors will not have to make up the day.
Dayton Elementary would like to invite our families and community members to meet our Elementary Principal Candidates for the upcoming school year. The Community Forum will be held in the Multipurpose Room Monday, May 10th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Please bring your questions and concerns to help us determine the best fit for our school. Social distancing and masks are required. We hope to see you there!
The School Board Work Session will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5th in the High School Library.

Grades 5th through 12th will switch to remote learning or no in-person school this Wednesday, March 10th. Preschool through 4th grade will be operating as normal. This is an early release day so all K-12 students will be done with classes at 12:30 p.m.
We have 18 staff members who will be receiving a Covid vaccination on Tuesday afternoon. We do not have enough substitutes to cover staff who may have side effects from the vaccination and cannot combine classes due to the 6-foot social distancing rule. Staff members are primarily in grades 5-12 so preschool through 4th grade will be operating as usual (with the scheduled 12:30 p.m. release for K-4).
